Terms and Conditions - Official User Agreement

1. Age Restriction & User Eligibility

18+ STRICTLY MANDATORY

Participation in any lottery scheme through Kerala Lottery is strictly restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age at the time of purchase.

By using this website, submitting an order, or transferring payment, you legally affirm and certify that you are 18 years of age or older.
Minors are strictly prohibited from purchasing or claiming prize money from any Kerala State Lottery tickets.
Territorial Compliance: Users are solely responsible for ensuring that purchasing and owning Kerala State paper lottery tickets complies with the local statutes, regulations, and bylaws of their respective state or territory of residence.

2. Nature of Our Service & Role

We act strictly as an authorized sales agent and purchasing facilitator for genuine physical paper lottery tickets printed and issued by the Government of Kerala (Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries).

What We Do: We purchase authentic paper lottery tickets from licensed Kerala lottery sub-offices, assign ticket serial numbers to your order, upload digital scanned proofs, safely store physical tickets in our lockers, and assist in legal prize redemptions.

What We Do NOT Do: We do not operate any private lottery, online casino, virtual gambling, or betting platform. All lottery schemes, prize structures, draw rules, and payouts are exclusively organized and determined by the Government of Kerala.

3. Order Placement & Payment Verification

Customers may select tickets across available weekly and bumper schemes (such as Karunya, Win-Win, Sthree Sakthi, Nirmal, Fifty-Fifty, Akshaya, Karunya Plus, and Seasonal Bumpers).

Payment Options: Orders may be paid via Direct UPI (`Pay via UPI`), UPI QR Code scan, Netbanking/Bank Transfer, or Online Payment Gateway.
Order Confirmation: An order is deemed formally confirmed only after our accounts department verifies receipt of funds and marks the transaction as Completed in the system.
Payment Proof Requirement: For manual UPI and bank transfers, uploading an authentic screenshot of the payment receipt is mandatory. Orders with fraudulent, manipulated, or duplicate screenshots will be immediately cancelled and reported.

4. Physical Custody & Digital Scanned Proofs

Upon verified payment confirmation:

Specific physical ticket serial numbers are assigned exclusively to your customer profile (registered name and phone number).
High-resolution scanned copies of your assigned tickets and a digital Certificate of Booking are made accessible through your Check Ticket Status portal.
The physical paper ticket is safely preserved in our secured, insured vault until the draw takes place.

5. Draws & Official Results

All lottery draws are conducted publicly by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries at Gorky Bhavan, near Gandhibhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, starting at 3:00 PM on the scheduled draw date.

While we make every reasonable effort to display real-time live results accurately, official results published in the Kerala Government Gazette by the Directorate of State Lotteries shall always prevail as the final, indisputable authority.

6. Prize Claims, Taxation & Payout Process

Prize claims must adhere strictly to statutory Kerala Government Lottery regulations:

Prizes up to ₹1,00,000: Can be collected directly through our authorized retail and agency network. We process verified claims and credit the payout directly to your bank account or UPI after verifying your identity.
Prizes exceeding ₹1,00,000: Must be claimed directly from the Director of Kerala State Lotteries or designated nationalized/scheduled banks in Kerala.
- We assist winners in complete documentation: hand-over of the original paper ticket signed by the winner on the reverse, prize claim application form, attested passport photographs, PAN Card, and Aadhaar Card.
- The original physical ticket will be handed over in person or via insured delivery to the verified winner.
Tax Deduction at Source (TDS): As per Section 194B of the Income Tax Act, 1961, any lottery prize exceeding ₹10,000 is subject to 30% TDS (plus applicable surcharges/cess), deducted at source by the Government of Kerala.
Claim Timeline: Prize-winning tickets must be surrendered to the authorities within 30 days from the date of the draw, as mandated by the Kerala State Lottery Rules.

7. Cancellation & Non-Refund Policy

Strict No-Cancellation Rule: Once an order is confirmed and official physical lottery tickets have been allocated, serial-numbered, and assigned to your name, the booking cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded under any circumstances.

This policy is required because official paper lottery tickets are serial-numbered state instruments purchased from the government and cannot be re-sold or returned once drawn or assigned.

8. Play Responsibly & Financial Risk Notice

Lottery participation involves financial risk and the potential for financial loss. Lottery games should be treated strictly as entertainment and recreation, never as an investment or income generation mechanism.

Never spend money that is needed for essential household, medical, or living expenses.
Set strict budgets and never chase losses.
If you or someone you know feels their gaming habits are becoming problematic, seek professional guidance immediately.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the rules framed under the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998.

Any legal claim, dispute, or proceeding arising out of or related to our services or these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the State of Kerala, India.

By using Kerala Lottery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
